Itinerary Highlights:
Baxia In the afternoon, we'll get to know our neighborhood with a Baixa tour. There’s no better way to get acquainted with the city than visiting Praça do Comércio, the magnificent square laid out in a neoclassical grid. Then, make your way to Elevador de Santa Justa (Santa Justa Lift), the neoclassical elevator that transports passengers from the Baixa district up to the ruins of the Igreja do Carmo church. Hit the nearest sidewalk cafe surrounding Rossio Square, said to be the heart of Lisbon.
Lison's Seven cinematic hillsides overlooking the Rio Tejo cradle a postcard-perfect panorama of cobbled alleyways, ancient ruins and white-domed cathedrals – a captivating recipe crafted over centuries. We'll tour the city, hitting some famous and not so famous spots for a well rounded view.
Sintra, Cascais and Cabo da Roca - We'll take you to a favorite palace (not Pena Palace - we would spend the whole day there and see nothing else), the awe-inspiring viewpoint at Cabo da Roca, the most western point of Continental Europe, the beach town of Cascais, and one of the best and unexpected hidden views in Lisbon to finish the day, making you feel more alive than ever. You can catch Pena Palace on an optional tour day. It's worth the day!
Evora and wine tasting-In this day trip southeast of Lisbon we will take you to the deep countryside of Alentejo where you can contemplate the plains, rolling hills and cork tree fields, along with stork nests and megalithic sites. The historic city of Évora is home to an old roman temple and the one of a kind bones chapel, and also steals it's visitors heart with the amazing local food. Here wine tastings are always on the top of the list of things to do and we won't let you pass on that. Enjoy your time in the land of idleness.
Nazare and Sitio - Possibly the most famous fishing town in Portugal, Nazaré is unique in many ways. It doesn’t contain the architectural treasures or grandiose monuments prevalent in other Portuguese towns, but it has an atmosphere of times gone by, contentment and traditions which continue to thrive, which make it a special place to visit. Our highlights will include: The spectacular view from the Miradouro do Suberco , the Miguel Arcanjo Fort, a homage to the extreme surfing at the Praia do Norte, Igreja Nossa Senhora da Nazaré church and its unique statue of Mary, and strolling along the Avenida da Republica, the beach promenade of Nazaré
